At Fintech Meetup 2023 in Las Vegas, the FF News team sat down for a conversation with Jim Marous, the owner and host of the Banking Transformed Podcast. The Banking Transformed Podcast examines major leadership and cultural changes in the banking industry.

“The same way that I probably couldn’t predict what was going to happen 10 days ago or two weeks ago. I can’t predict what’s going to probably happen right now, two weeks or two years from now. That said, I think the energy level in the marketplace now is that everybody’s paychecks are gonna be paid.”

“It’s more vibrant, I had a panel this morning with 3 major US Banks. I asked them the question, ‘There’s a concern in people’s minds about how the Silicon Valley Bank collapsed, what impact will that have on the desire to invest in fintech?’ All 3 banks point blank said if anything, it’s going to ramp up their desire to innovate and use fintech and 3rd party partnerships to drive scale and speed.”
