Does the financial ecosystem need its own AI Language Model?

At Singapore Fintech Festival we spoke to both Shirish Wadivkar and Avalon Ingram from Swift to get their perspective on the AI trend. Wadivkar, who manages payments and global trade at Swift, takes us back to basics and lets us know how they approach innovation in this area. He says they need a wider village to make AI work for payments and even suggests there may be a need for an LLM dedicated to the financial ecosystem.

Ingram adds her thoughts on how they can optimise the payments process and reduce points of friction with this technology. We hear from both about the potential the region offers and how it balances regulatory compliance with innovation.
