We speak to Jessica Olivan, Co-founder and CEO of Velara, a Columbian based startup seeking to provide financial wellbeing and inclusion for Spanish speaking communities. This conversation from Money20/20 USA is a fascinating insight into a community led startup that has just moved to the US and is aiming to plug the gap often left by bigger financial institutions.

She is hoping that increased financial empowerment will enable greater adoption of new technologies particularly in the LATAM region. Olivan also talks about her inclusion in the Amplify Accelerator which seeks to help and mentor female and minority entrepreneurs.
