Rosie Denée – Lloyd’s Lab – ITC Latam 2023
During the ITC Latam event in Miami, FF News had the opportunity to interact with Rosie Denée, who runs the Lloyd’s Lab, who provides insider knowledge on her company.
Lloyd’s Lab is an esteemed innovation accelerator and incubator program initiated by Lloyd’s of London. It is dedicated to propelling technological advancements and fostering strategic collaborations within the insurance industry. The program serves as a distinguished platform for startups and entrepreneurs to cultivate and validate pioneering ideas, products, and services, revolutionising the landscape of insurance.
“Lloyd’s of London is the home birthplace for insurance. It’s over 330 years old and is based in London. We have a marketplace where we have 50 insurance companies and over 350 brokers operating within this space. The amazing thing about the Lloyd’s Lab is we get to innovate with all of these companies.”
“It’s all about making insurance more accessible and thinking about the customer. Insurance is hugely traditional, it’s been going for hundreds and hundreds of years. And in that, a lot of the insurance policies aren’t customer centric … So today, what we’re seeing in the Insuretech scene is: Working out what the customer problem is, and then seeing if we can build a solution.”
