What’s Your Drink of Choice? | FF News at FTT Fintech Festival

We all know the real networking starts when the beers come out…

The FTT Fintech Festival is known for being one of the fun ones. And it’s hosted in The Brewery, one of the premier venues in the City of London.

So we thought we’d round out our 60 second videos from the conference with the question: “What’s your drink of choice?”

Watch the video to find out what these fintech fans fancy, when they’re ‘done’ working for the day.

Any here on your list?

A drink for the occasion

We had a mix of responses to this question, with some keen to point out they were sticking to water or coffee during the day. This is a professional event after all!

A significant number of attendees leaned towards beer, with mentions ranging from IPAs and Camden Town ales to Guinness and non-alcoholic options. This beer-centric trend was fitting, given the venue. Others embraced cocktails, with margaritas—both classic and spicy—and the rum and ginger based Dark and Stormy making an appearance. Good choice!

For those with a taste for something more refined, Prosecco, gin and tonic, and whiskey emerged as evening favorites. Coffee was another popular choice, especially during the daytime, highlighting its role as a professional staple. Meanwhile, a few opted for more general answers, emphasizing a preference for “something wet and cold” or simply cider.

It certainly shows what a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere the event has and recognises that there’s always time for a bit of fun, alongside the business.

Great Content Programme at Fintech Talents

The event which brings together industry leaders has a packed content schedule, with speakers tackling subjects ranging from macroeconomic challenges to driving sustainable finance and growth within the fintech ecosystem. The Payments Stage delved into the evolving payments landscape, offering insights and fostering collaboration among industry pioneers.

FTT also spotlights embedded finance, showcasing how banks and fintechs can partner to deliver innovative financial products through diverse channels and enhance customer experiences. Open finance initiatives highlighted the UK’s global leadership in open banking, emphasizing partnerships and policies that advance financial inclusion.

And of course AI’s transformative potential took center stage, with strategic applications and advancements explored along with the critical need for ethical, transparent AI deployment in finance.

A… Knees Up In A Brewery

Adding to the appeal is the location at The Brewery, a truly unique venue in the heart of London. Nestled in the shadow of the Barbican, near fintech-central; Shoreditch and central hubs like Liverpool Street and Moorgate, it’s in the ideal location.

The Brewery also accommodates everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences of over 1,000 attendees. Its adaptable rooms allow for creative layouts, seamless breakout sessions, and smooth transitions for catering and networking. Guests also benefit from high-quality in-house services, including expert event management, state-of-the-art AV equipment, and exceptional catering tailored to meet diverse dietary preferences.

Adding historic charm to modern functionality, The Brewery’s rich heritage as a former brewing site gives the place some real character, making it a memorable setting. The outdoor courtyard spaces provide even more versatility, meaning it’s ideal for receptions or exhibitions during the warmer months. But we know it for the jolly good time that is FTT Fintech Festival.
