Christian Luckow Discusses The Future For The Payments Industry & Danske Bank
Sitting down for a conversation with FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie, Christian Luckow Discusses The Future For The Payments Industry & Danske Bank, gives us his predictions on what the future might look like for the payments industry and how Danske Bank is facing the challenge of navigating the ever-shifting payments landscape.
“For us internally, I think that in some ways my area is going to be, I wouldn’t say less interesting but less busy. We have this massive hump that we need to get over in the next 3 or 4 years, then I think things will stabilize a little bit.”
“The core payments will probably go back to being a little bit like how we used to know it. That we just want it to work, but it may not be an area where you want to put heavy investment in to. But it just enables so much more than everybody’s talking about on top. Instant payment is one of the things that in a lot of areas, instant payment is still not a thing. Germany is not heavily using it for businesses for instance.”
