Bitstamp’s Miha Vidmar Discusses Whether The Pandemic Impacted People’s Appetite For Decentralised Finance
Miha Vidmar, Chief Product Officer at Bitstamp, joins FF News’ Douglas Mackenzie for a virtual conversation surrounding the world of decentralized finance. In this video, Miha gives discusses the COVID pandemic and gives his insights on how the worldwide circumstances have impacted people’s demand for DeFi.
“When it comes to cryptocurrency, I haven’t seen any personal direct correlation to the pandemic. I think overall, it continues that distrust in centralized agencies like governments has risen. Like when there was a banking crisis, it affected banking and now it’s pharmaceutical companies.”
“I think that all sort of caters towards the decentralized space. So, cutting out the intermediate centralized power. I think it plays well towards the space, but I wouldn’t necessarily think I saw any major impact out of the pandemic towards it.”
