Amanda Shoffel, Bitstamp, on the importance of crypto education
We spoke with Amanda Shoffel, General Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Bitstamp, about the importance of education on blockchain and cryptocurrency themes.
Amanda notes that while crypto education, particularly at graduate levels has improved “More than half of the worlds top 50 universities now offer some kind blockchain or crypto course” but acknowledges not everyone has the means or resources for degree learning.
In steps Bitstamps Learn Center. “Offering free resources that people can do in their own time, like The Learn Center, democratizes crypto education”. Bitstamp have created a platform for learning that is ahead of the trend. “It’s just a matter of time before it trickles down through schools”.
Having seen more financial crises than any other generation, Amanda places financial literacy as a priority and tells us “The more people understand crypto and the more they trust it and the more it can work for them”.
