Greencent is a new generation loyalty system measuring, rewarding and reporting reductions of CO2 emissions resulting from activities performed by individuals for the benefit of organisations who can demonstrate that they take measures to lower their CO2 emissions to comply with the regulation and/or consumer demands. Greencent allocates Greencents to users according to the principle “1 Greencent = reward for 1 kg of non-emitted CO2”. We have a B2B business model; we operate for the benefit of following organisations and their associated users: – Cities –> citizens – Companies and public administrations –> employees/civil servants – Universities –> students and teaching staff – Event organisers –> participants – Hotels, cafés and restaurants (hospitality) –> guests Greencent value proposition consists of three steps: – Measure eco-friendliness by using trustworthy data – Reward users by using rules based on science and activities – Value CO2 emission reduction by letting offer and demand take effect Greencent mission is to monetise CO2 emissions. Greencent vision is to implement market ecology: an economic and monetary system in which the environmental impact caused by the production of goods and services is systematically assessed, displayed and taken into account in pricing according to a commonly agreed upon methodology and it is then financially advantageous to design, produce, market and purchase goods and services with a low, non-existent or positive environmental impact. Three kinds of participants take part in Greencent: – Users are individuals actually performing activities and getting rewarded for them – Customers are organisations who pay for and provide access to the system to their users, and get the resulting CO2 emission reduction reported and certified by us – Partners are companies and businesses who accept the Greencent as means of payment and get also certificates proportionately.
